World Wrestling Championships 2007
The 2007 World Wrestling Championships took place in Baku from September 17 to 23, 2007 . It was wrestled in both Greco-Roman and free styles . The wrestlers were divided into seven weight classes. A total of 613 wrestlers took part, 300 of them in Greco-Roman and 313 in freestyle, as well as 198 wrestlers from a total of 96 nations.
German participants
The DRB sent a contingent of 21 wrestlers who achieved the following placements:

- under 55 kg: Florian Crusius (21.),
- under 60 kg: Jurij Kohl (20th),
- under 66 kg: Marcus Thätner (30.),
