World Wrestling Championships 1955

The Wrestling World Championships in 1955 took place from April 21 to 25, 1955 in the Black Forest Hall in Karlsruhe . The wrestlers were divided into eight weight classes. In contrast to 1954 , the wrestling was not in the free , but in the Greco-Roman style . The wrestlers from the Soviet Union secured medals in seven of the eight competitions.
