World Wrestling Championships 1950
The 1950 World Wrestling Championships took place in Stockholm from March 20 to 23, 1950 . The wrestlers were divided into eight weight classes. The only wrestling was in the Greco-Roman style .

The 28-year-old Antonsson, who became European Freestyle Champion in Istanbul in 1949, defeated Alois Kešnar from Czechoslovakia, Pauli Riihimäki from Finland and the Norwegian Olaf Knudsen as well as the silver medalist on his way to World Championship gold Gyula Bóbis. For the 40-year-old Olympic Freestyle Champion from 1948 Bóbis, it was the last appearance on a major international stage.
