World Wrestling Championships 2003
The wrestling world championships in 2003 took place separately in different locations according to style. The wrestlers were divided into seven weight classes.
Greco-Roman
The Greco-Roman style competitions took place from October 1st to 5th, 2003 in Créteil . In addition to Konstantin Schneider , Jannis Zamanduridis came in seventh in the -66 kg weight class and the two tenth-placed Jurij Kohl in the -60 kg weight class and Mirko Englich in the -96 kg weight class, three other Germans among the top ten.

Freestyle
The free style competitions took place in New York City from September 12-14, 2003 . Sven Thiele achieved the best German placement in the -120 kg weight class in eleventh place. Radovan Valach finished ninth in the -96 kg weight class, the best Austrian.

Women
The women's competitions were held in New York City from September 12-14, 2003 . The United States had athletes on the podium in all seven competitions. The best Germans were Anita Schätzle in fifth in the -72 kg weight class, Stefanie Stüber in 8th place in the -59 kg weight class, Stéphanie Groß in ninth place in the -63 kg weight class and Alexandra Engelhardt in 10th place in the -51 kg weight class . Marina Gastl was the sixth most successful Austrian in the -72 kg weight class. The best Swiss woman was Nadine Tokar in ninth place in the -51 kg weight class.
