World Wrestling Championships 1991

The 1991 wrestling world championships took place in different locations, separated by sex. The wrestlers were divided into ten weight classes per style , while the women competed in nine weight classes.

The Greco-Roman style competitions took place in Varna from September 27th to 30th, 1991 .

The free style competitions took place from October 3rd to October 10th 1991 in Varna . Of the Soviet wrestlers who started, only Rassul Katinowassow missed a medal rank as fourth in the -82 kg weight class.
