Brad Penrith (born 1965 in Windsor , New York ) is a retired American wrestler . He was runner- up in 1991 in free style bantamweight.

Career

Brad Penrith started wrestling as a teenager. During his high school years, he won several regional championships in free style in 1980 and 1981, the style in which he was exclusively active, several competitions, etc. a. In 1981 he became champion of New York in the weight class up to 45 kg body weight. He was also successful while studying at Iowa State University . This culminated in winning the US Student Championship (NCAA Champion) 1986 bantamweight. In 1987 and 1988 he finished 2nd in the bantamweight championship behind Billy Kelly and Jim Martin.

Brad Penrith was also a student at the Iowa Hawkeyes Wrestling Club in Cedar Falls, Iowa . In 1989, 1991 and 1993 Brad Penrith was also the American Bantamweight Champion of the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union).
