World Wrestling Championships 1990
The 1990 World Wrestling Championships took place in different locations, separated by style and gender. The wrestlers were divided into ten weight classes, while the women competed in nine weight classes.
Greco-Roman
The Greco-Roman style competitions took place from October 19-21, 1990 in Lido di Ostia . The Soviet Union was able to celebrate athletes on the podium in all 10 competitions.

Women
The women's competitions took place from June 29 to July 1, 1990 in Luleå . There were 45 wrestlers from 12 nations at the start, including Sandra Schrenker , the only German woman , who took sixth and last place in the -65 kg weight class. In the -75 kg weight class there were only three participants, so all athletes there received medals.
