Jannis Zamanduridis (born March 18, 1966 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German wrestler and national coach in the Greco-Roman style .

Life

Jannis Zamanduridis was runner-up at the 1990 World Wrestling Championship. Five years later he was third at the 1995 World Wrestling Championship.

Zamanduridis had already ended his active wrestling career after winning the World Cup in 1995. In 2003 he was asked by the German Wrestling Association to qualify again for the Olympic Games as part of the World Cup.

Zamanduridis was successful at the 2003 World Cup and traveled to Athens as a 38-year-old . At this tournament he reached seventh place.

Jannis Zamanduridis has been the sports director of the German Wrestling Association since January 2013 .
