Alireza Heidari , Persian عليرضا حيدری, (Born March 4, 1976 in Tehran ) is an Iranian freestyle wrestler and participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and 2004 in Athens .
Alireza Heidari is considered one of the best Iranian wrestlers of all time.
While he missed the medal ranks at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and ended up sixth, he won the bronze medal at the Athens Games in the "heavyweight (96 kg)" category.
The exceptional Iranian athlete won a world championship , three world cups, four Asian championships, three Asian games , one world military game and two university world championships. With this record he is one of the most successful Iranian freestyle wrestlers of all time.
In addition to his sporting achievements, Alireza Heidari has also successfully completed his law studies.
