Florian Crusius

Florian Crusius (born August 28, 1986 in Friedrichroda ) is a German wrestler .

Crusius wrestles for the RSV Hansa Frankfurt / Oder (in the fighting community with Eisenhüttenstadt) in the Greco-Roman style in the weight class up to 60 kg with a height of 1.66 meters.

Crusius started as a cadet in 2002 and 2003 at the European Championships in the 50 kg class. In 2002 he was 18th, a year later 8th at the tournament in Rostov-on-Don .

In 2005 and 2006 Florian Crusius competed at the Junior European Championships and finished 7th and 5th. In 2006 he started in Guatemala City for Germany at the Junior World Championships, where he finished 18th after a loss to Luis Lazo from Ecuador .

In 2007, at the age of twenty-one, he started for the first time internationally with the seniors. At the World Championships in Guangzhou , China , Crusius reached 21st place after defeating the Finn Ville Käki and losing to Kristijan Fris from Serbia .

Although he had only finished 2nd at the German championships in March, Crusius was nominated for the European Championship in Tampere, Finland . Starting in the class up to 55 kg, however, he lost to Juri Kowal from the Ukraine and came in 15th.
