KFC Leipzig
The Martial Arts and Fitness Club Leipzig eV is a sports club from the Saxon city of Leipzig . The club's wrestlers have been involved in the sport with AC Taucha since 2010 . In the 2012/13 season, the WKG was relegated from the 1st Bundesliga and has been in the 2nd Bundesliga North since 2013/14.
In addition to the wrestling department, the club also has departments in kung fu , break dance , karate , judo , gymnastics and fitness .
history
In 2003 the KFC was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. After three years, he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga again in 2006. There they reached a 2nd place in the first season behind the 1st Luckenwalder SC in the Northeast relay. In the subsequent intermediate round, however, Leipzig was eliminated. In the following year, qualification for the round of 16 in the finals followed in the restructured Bundesliga. After two defeats against KSV Witten 07 , the KFC was eliminated again. In 2008/09 the Leipziger placed seventh out of eight teams. The round of 16 was missed by two points, but they only missed relegation by two points. This followed in the next season when they only got two points out of 18 matches. After relegation, the competition community with AC Taucha was formed in 2010 . After a 3rd place in the 2nd Bundesliga 2010/11 and 1st place in 2011/12, they returned to the 1st Bundesliga in 2012/13, from which they were immediately relegated.
