Wrestling Bundesliga
The Wrestling League is the highest class in German wrestling for teams. The Bundesliga was introduced in 1964.
history
The wrestling league was introduced in October 1964 in the Federal Republic with a south and a north relay with six teams each. The northern group included SV Einigkeit Aschaffenburg-Damm , KSV Neu-Isenburg , Sport-Union-Annen , ASV Mainz 1888 , Siegfried-Nordwest Berlin and ASV Heros Dortmund . In the southern group, ESV Sportfreunde Neuaubing , AV Germania Freiburg-St. Georgen , KSV Köllerbach , KSV Saarbrücken-Malstatt , ASV Schorndorf and SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos .

Basically there is a preliminary round, which is played in at least two seasons, and a final round, comparable to a play-off round. The German champions are usually found in a final between January and March, with a preliminary and a rematch and both results are added together.

Season southeast
Seven teams compete in the southeast relay:
- RSV Rotation Greiz
- ASV Schorndorf (promoted Regionalliga Baden-Württemberg)
- Red Devils Heilbronn (defending champion Northwest relay and German runner-up)
- SV Wacker Burghausen (defending champion relay Southeast and German champions)
- SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos-Goldach
- SV St. Johannis 07 Nuremberg
- FC Erzgebirge Aue
- AC Lichtenfels (promoted Oberliga Nord)
Season southwest
Eight teams compete in the southwest season:

- TuS Adelhausen (defending champion season southwest)

Eight teams compete in the Northwest Relay:
