RG Hausen-Zell
The Ringgemeinschaft Hausen-Zell is a wrestling team that currently competes in the Baden-Württemberg regional league. It is an amalgamation of the wrestling clubs of the two places Hausen and Zell im Wiesental . In 2009/10 the club was in the wrestling league .
In 1971, the weight training department of TV Hausen, founded in 1955, and the athletic sports club Zell i. W. (founded in 1906) to form the ring association. Four years later she was promoted to the then newly created 2nd Bundesliga for the first time; In 1986, as runner-up, she only just missed promotion to the top wrestling class. In 1992, the RG rose from the third-class league. Since 1998 the people of South Baden have been fighting in the 2nd Bundesliga again.
In 2004 the A / B youth team became German team champions in front of their home crowd.
On December 20, 2008, the first team of RG Hausen-Zell achieved their first promotion to the 1st Bundesliga with a 20:13 home win against AB Aichhalden . In the following Bundesliga season, however, they remained without a win and were relegated back to the second Bundesliga. From May 1st to 2nd, 2009, RG Hausen-Zell held a German team championship for the third time after 1997 and 2004.
