The 2011/12 Ringer Bundesliga is the 48th season in the history of the Ringer Bundesliga .

18 teams in two seasons with nine teams each took part in the 2011/12 Bundesliga season. The best four teams in each season qualified for the play-offs. SV Germania Weingarten started the season as defending champion, winning the 2011 championship by beating RWG Mömbris-Königshofen in the final .

German champion was again the SV Germania Weingarten , who was able to catch up a three point deficit in the rematch against KSV AE Köllerbach .

Changes

Newcomers to the 1st Bundesliga for the 2011/12 season were TuS Adelhausen (West relay) and SV Untergriesbach (East relay). In the previous season, the RKG Freiburg 2000 (West relay) and the AV Germania Markneukirchen (East relay) were relegated, and the Frankfurt / Oder-Eisenhüttenstadt KG and ASV Hof (previously both East relay) did not start in 2011/12 the 1st Bundesliga. The KSV Aalen 05 was divided by the squadron West to the East Season.
