The 2007/08 Ringer Bundesliga is the 44th in the history of the Ringer Bundesliga . 24 teams competed in three preliminary round groups for the German championship .
After the major restructuring last season , the Bundesliga decided to restructure again for the 2007/08 season at a meeting in Darmstadt in February 2007 . There will be three seasons, north, middle and south, with eight teams each.
Preliminary round
The preliminary rounds began on September 29, 2007 and ended on December 22, 2007. The best 16 teams (six from the south and five each from the middle and north seasons) qualified for the round of 16 of the championship round on December 29, 2007 began to fight.
Season south
SC Anger took first place in the southern season, tied with KSV Aalen 05. SV Hallbergmoos and the wrestlers from SV Wacker Burghausen followed in third and fourth place. The RKG Freiburg 2000 and the KG Dewangen-Fachsenfeld also qualified for the championship round.

Season middle
The German champions KSV Köllerbach reached the round of 16 of the championship round without losing points. Germania Weingarten, Mömbris-Königshofen, KSV Witten 07 and KSK Konkordia Neuss also qualified. ASV Hüttigweiler was bottom of the table with 14 lost fights.

North season
The champion of the 2005/06 season, 1. Luckenwalder SC, survived the rounds without defeat and made it into the championship round. The Turkish RV Berlin only suffered two defeats in 14 fights (both against Luckenwalde). The newcomers qualified with Frankfurt / Oder-Eisenhüttenstadt, the co-promoted ASV Hof and the KFC Leipzig for the round of 16 of the championship round.

Round of 16
The preliminary fights were held on December 29, 2007 with the exception of the Hof versus Weingarten encounter (December 30, 2007). The rematches all took place a week later on January 5, 2008 (the clubs marked in bold each reach the quarter-finals!) .

In the final, the defending champion KSV AE Köllerbach and the German champions of the 2005/06 season, the 1. Luckenwalder SC, faced each other. The final battle was held on February 16 in the Hermann-Neuberger-Halle in Völklingen , the rematch a week later on February 23, 2008 in the Fläminghalle Luckenwalde .
