history

The club was founded in August 1926 as the athletes club Einigkeit Sellerbach . In 1932 Sellerbach was merged with other villages to form the municipality of Köllerbach. The athletes club became KSV Einigkeit Köllerbach .

In 1966 the Köllerbacher wrestlers became German champions for the first time. The runner-up in 1967 was followed by the second German championship a year later; In 1972 the strength athletes won their third title. Werner Hoppe played a major role in these three championships.

1974 Köllerbach was incorporated into the city of Püttlingen; In 1983 KSV Köllerbach merged with KSV Püttlingen . The association has had its current name ever since.

In 2001 the wrestlers were again German runner-up.

In the 2005/2006 Bundesliga season, the KSV narrowly missed the final; In the semifinals against Hallbergmoos , the Saarlanders were only one point short. In the 2006/07 season, however, the championship succeeded again: In the semi-finals, the Saarlanders eliminated KSV Witten and defeated defending champion 1. Luckenwalder SC in the two finals . In the two following years, the Köllerbachers were able to prevail again in the finals against the same opponent and thus win the championship for the third time in a row. In the 2011/2012 season , the club was again German runner-up.
