The KSV Aalen 05 is a German wrestler club from Aalen .
history
The club was founded in 1904 under the name KSV Germania Aalen and is one of the most successful wrestling relays in Germany with VfK Schifferstadt , AC Bavaria Goldbach , KSV Witten 07 and KSV Köllerbach . After high tax debts became known, the wrestling department was spun off as a GmbH and the old club filed for bankruptcy, while the club was re-established in 2005 as KSV Aalen 05. In this way, KSV Aalen was able to ensure its continued membership in the Bundesliga and keep its eight German championships.
The first team struggled until the end of the 2010/2011 season in the 1. Ringer's Bundesliga and reached in the season 2006/07 2nd place behind the SV Germania Weingarten from Baden and was in the second round second behind the first Luckenwalder SC .
In the past, the title of German team champion has been brought to Aalen several times. This was the case for the first time in 1979, when defending champion Witten was beaten in the final with an overall result of 42:38 (20:20 and 22:18). At that time, Salim Özkan won the paper weight after a referee decision against his Witten opponent Münür Caliskan. Already in 1976 the Aalen company failed at VfK Schifferstadt . In 1984 the title could be brought back to Württemberg with a victory over the Schifferstadters. Under the coach Ahmet Çakıcı , the title could be won six times in a row between 1997 and 2002, most recently against Schifferstadt. In 2003 and 2004, KSV Aalen had to admit defeat in the finals by the Kurpfälz. In the 2005/06 season the newly founded KSV Aalen 05 missed the play-offs with a fifth place in the preliminary round. In the following fighting times, however, the Aalen team always reached the finals, in 2010 Aalen finally won the title after beating SV Germania Weingarten in the final .
In the 2010/11 season KSV Aalen 05 failed in the semi-final rematch in Bretten at SV Germania Weingarten . Weingarten later became German team champion for the first time with a final victory over RWG Mömbris-Königshofen .
After the German wrestling federation planned to move the club from the West to the East, the top management of the KSV agreed on February 16, 2011 not to move there for financial reasons and announced immediately after the forced transfer on February 21, 2011 to sign out of the House of Lords instead. KSV Aalen will therefore only start in the upper league in the upcoming 2011/12 season, in which the second team competed up to then.
The "resignation from resignation" was announced a few days later after it was announced that supporters, members and sponsors are against the tactics of the board of directors. With an increase in the budget with sponsorship money, KSV Aalen 05 is keeping its squad in the 1st Bundesliga.
As a result, other top wrestlers (e.g. Bichinashvili and Motsalin) migrated. The reigning German team champion SV Germania Weingarten recently strengthened himself with top wrestler Guidea (undefeated in 2010) from the KSV Aalen 05 squad.
On February 25, 2012, the Bundesliga committee of the DRB decided a new division of the Bundesliga relays. Aalen therefore competed in the South Season against Weingarten, Nendingen and Burghausen, among others, in 2012/13.
After the 2016/17 season, KSV Aalen 05 withdrew its team from the 1st Bundesliga and started in the district class from now on.
