Schleicher grew up in Nuremberg and started as a teenager in his home club with the Johannis Grizzlys . In 2008 he took part in international championships for the first time as a senior. The originally planned wrestler Marcel Ewald could not start because of a shoulder injury. In an elimination match Schleicher was able to qualify for the European Championships in Finland and was fifth in these. Schleicher has already won ten German championships in total.
Schleicher was a member of the Bundesliga squad of SV St. Johannis 07 until the 2011/12 season . In the 2012/13 season he moved to KSV Aalen , and since the 2013/14 season he has been playing for RWG Mömbris-Königshofen .
The home club reserves the right to start a second time at individual championships.
His father Matthias Schleicher used to wrestle himself and was the school and youth coach of SV Johannis 07 Nürnberg.
