Stefan Kehrer

Stefan Kehrer (born January 18, 1985 in Mannheim ) is a German freestyle wrestler in the weight class up to 97 kilograms.

Stefan Kehrer is multiple German youth and junior champion. From 2001 to 2009, launched sports Soldier of sports promotion group Bruchsal for KSV ketch , where he by Waldemar Galwas was trained in 2009 he was awarded the KSV Aalen 05 German team champion. From 2010 he was with ASV Mainz 88 , in 2012 he moved to the upper league for KSV Ispringen. He finished the military World Cup in Baku in third place with the bronze medal. At the European Championships in Moscow , he also won the bronze medal. In addition, Kehrer won his first title as German champion in 2006. In 2007 he was again German champion and eighth at the World Cup in Baku. In 2008 he completed the title hat trick at the German championships and qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing . There he was 13th. In 2009, Kehrer was German champion for the fourth time and in 2010 for the fifth time in a row. In 2011 he was runner-up. In 2011 he was German runner-up in the heavyweight division behind Nick Matuhin from 1. Luckenwalder SC.

In addition to wrestling, Kehrer also played football and is a successful striker for his club. In 2012 he made it to the district class A with the SG Hohensachsen. In April 2009, Kehrer married his long-time girlfriend. He is training to become a prison employee.

At the World Championships in Las Vegas in September 2015, Stefan Kehrer almost missed the Olympic ticket with his seventh place as the best German freestyle wrestler.
