Dainius Trinkūnas

Dainius Trinkūnas (born July 25, 1931 in Šiauliai , † November 30, 1996 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian pianist and politician.

Life

In 1949 he graduated from the Šiauliai music school and after graduating from high school in 1950 at the J. Janonis Middle School in 1955 he studied at Lietuvos konservatorija . From 1955 he taught at the Šiauliai music school, from 1958 taught at the Lietuvos konservatorija , from 1960 to 1970 he was director of the Čiurlionis art school and from 1970 to 1973 of the Lietuvos filharmonija , from 1973 to 1988 vice minister and from 1988 to 1990 minister for culture the Lithuanian SSR . From 1992 to 1994 he was Minister for Culture and Education in the Šleževičius Cabinet .
