Daisy Chapman (* 1979 in Bristol ) is a British pop singer.

biography

Chapman began taking piano lessons at the request of her parents at the age of 6. Quickly bored with the common teaching style, she taught herself to play songs by ear. While studying in Bristol, she played in several smaller bands, but initially without success. When she released her first solo EP, however, the Bremen- based record label "Dandyland" became aware of her, and is involved in the regionally popular concert series "Songs & Whispers". This gave her the opportunity to tour mainly in the northern part of Germany. So she stepped u. a. on the Breminale . Also the combo Scarlatti Tilt, which she co-foundedmade a name for itself with their debut album "Gathering Of The Haunted" (2007). Chapman performs both original compositions and cover versions on their albums and live. For example, there is a version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", and she also tried Rihanna's pop hit "Umbrella" and other classics. Chapman is touring member of the band Crippled Black Phoenix .
