Daisy Door (born January 30, 1944 in Duisburg ; actually Evelyn van Ophuisen ) is a German pop singer .

biography

Daisy Door sang for the Kölner Rundfunk as a child. The first recordings of singles were made with her sister Liane as "Li & Ev (e)"; a solo single was also created. Later she was a member of the Botho Lucas Choir . As a solo singer, she became known in 1971 through the song You live in your world (Highlights of My Dream), composed and produced by Peter Thomas , from the episode When the Flowers Wore Mourning of the TV series Der Kommissar . Here she gave her voice to the actress Sylvia Lukan . More than 500,000 records of this title were sold within three months. He brought her three appearances in the ZDF hit parade (December 1971, January and February 1972).

Daisy Door chose her stage name based on Doris Day . Today her name is Evelyn Ericson and lives in Duisburg.
