Daisy Lúcidi
Daisy Lopes Lúcidi Mendes , known as Daisy Lúcidi , (born August 10, 1929 in Rio de Janeiro ; † May 7, 2020 there ) was a Brazilian radio presenter , telenovela actress, film actress and politician.
Life
Daisy Lúcidi was born in Rio as the daughter of a police officer and a seamstress. She first appeared on the radio at the age of six when Lucidi was reading a poem. She hosted a radio show with Cesar Ladeira for ten years and spoke roles in radio theatricals , a pre-form of telenovelas on radio. She appeared on television in the 1960s. In 1971 she started her own radio show Hello Daisy , which dealt with recipes , gossip about celebrities, but also problems of the big city of Rio. She hosted this show for 46 years. She used her prominence as a presenter to successfully run for the Rio City Council in 1976. From 1983 she was a member of the parliament of the state of Rio de Janeiro for three legislative terms until 1995 . From 2007 she was seen in the telenovela Tropical Paradise and appeared in other television programs. In 2014 she made her last appearance on television. She also starred in six Brazilian film productions during her career.
Daisy Lucidi died on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 90 from complications from COVID-19 .
