Dale Launer

Dale Launer (* 1952 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American screenwriter , director and film producer .

Life

Dale Launer was the son of S. John Launer, who had a specialty electrical appliance store. Launer took over his father's company at a young age and worked as a salesman. In 1980 he began writing theater texts and short stories incorporating characters from people he met in business. In one of his first scripts for the film The Incredible Abduction of Mad Mrs. Stone , he built the characteristics of his father into the role of Judge Reinhold . With this film he also had his breakthrough as a screenwriter. Since then he has also worked as a director and film producer.
