Dalldorf is a district of the municipality of Leiferde ( joint municipality of Meinersen ) in the district of Gifhorn in Lower Saxony .

Geography and transport links

The place is located approx. 3 km west of the core town of Leiferde directly on the west of the Oker . The neighboring towns of Meinersen in the north and Hillerse in the south can be reached after approx. 4 km via district road 46, which runs through Dalldorf . Volkse in the south-west can be reached after 1 km via the county road 451.

history

The first documentary mention dates from 1226.

According to this, Dalldorf was in the possession of the nobleman von Meinersen around 1226 and thus belonged to the Meinersen office . In Luthard von Meinersen's fiefdom register it says: "uillam daltorp totam in proprietatem ..." (= the whole of Daltorp is owned ...)

Until the dissolution in 1885, Dalldorf belonged to the Gifhorn office , which then became the Gifhorn district. Until 1974, Dalldorf was an independent part of the then integrated municipality of Leiferde. As part of the regional reform, it was incorporated into Leiferde and thus into the Meinersen municipality.

Naming

Old Low German names are Daltorp, Daldhorpe, Daldorpe and Daldorppe, which means something like "Taldorf". Currently, however, Dalldorf is more on the Black Mountain.
