I Quattro is a Swiss quartet consisting of the four tenors Simon Jäger-Vogel, Damian Meier, Matthias Aeberhard and Daniel Camille Bentz.

The quartet emerged in 2009 as a project as part of the six-part program “ The Biggest Swiss Hits ” 2009 on Swiss television , where they first appeared in public in October 2009. The four tenors, who have already had their own solo careers, interpret selected Swiss evergreens together . So far, seven records have been released by Universal Music Switzerland .

Members

Simon Jäger-Vogel, who performed as a soloist at concerts in his youth , studied singing at the Lucerne School of Music , where he completed his teaching diploma in 2002 and his concert diploma in 2004. The focus of his artistic activity is on the oratorio and song subjects . He is the director of the Dagmersellen church choir and lecturer for solo singing at the Emmenbrücke music school.

Damian Meier was a member and soloist of the Solothurn Singing Boys since childhood . He completed his training at the Bern University of the Arts , where he graduated with a teaching diploma for singing. This was followed by master classes in musical and belting singing . At the end of the 1990s, Damian Meier was the lead singer of the Swiss boy band Code 5 , with whom he made it into the Swiss charts several times in 1997, including a top ten hit . This was followed by various appearances in television shows and abroad as well as in several musical productions.

Matthias Aeberhard studied at the Music Academy in Winterthur and later in Zurich. From 1999 to 2001 he was a member of the Zurich International Opera Studio , where he received a sponsorship award from Alexander Pereira . This was later followed by master classes with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Christa Ludwig, among others . He also appeared in smaller roles at the Zurich Opera House . From 2001 to 2005 Matthias Aeberhard worked as a lyric tenor at the Lucerne Theater , where he appeared in several title roles. Since 2005 he has appeared as a freelance concert and opera singer on important stages at home and abroad.

Daniel Camille Bentz studied singing at the Zurich University of Music and has been a member since 2016.
