Damien Nelis

Damien Patrick Nelis is an Irish classical philologist .

He has been Professor of Latin Studies at the University of Geneva since 2005, having previously held the Chair of Latin at Trinity College Dublin (Chair of Latin (1870)) from 1999 to 2005 . Previously he was a lecturer in Greek and Latin at Durham University .

His research interests are in the area of ​​Augustan Latin poetry as well as the Greek and Latin epic.
