Dam (Altkalen)
Damm is a district of the Altkalen community in the east of the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania; the municipality is administered by the Gnoien office. The hamlet is located about two kilometers northeast of the town center on the edge of the Dammer Postmoor nature reserve, which extends to the northwest . The highest point is 46 m above sea level between Damm and Altkalen.
On July 1, 1950, dam was incorporated into the Altkalen community.
In addition to the post moor, a manor house built in the late 19th century is worth seeing.
The village can be reached via the L231 secondary road of the same name, which continues to Finkenthal- Schlutow. The street settlement has the postal code 17179 and the telephone code 03 99 73. Apart from a grocery store, holiday apartments and a bus stop, there are no local facilities or other infrastructure in Damm.
