House Damm 12 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in a corner and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register.

Architecture and history

The narrow half-timbered house was built in 1711. It was built as a twin house together with a neighboring building. The facade shows the typical decorative elements of the Quedlinburg half-timbered building. So there are profiled fillers and pyramid beam heads . The front door including the skylight dates from the construction time. There is an inscription on the threshold of the house. Originally the house was probably number 13.

According to a plan from 1898, it was planned to build a road connection from Pölle to Pölkenstraße and even further east. In this context, the demolition of the house at Damm 12 was also planned. The then created GutsMuthsstraße was not carried out to Pölkenstraße, so the building was preserved.
