The Herbert Dammann GmbH (proper spelling HERBERT DAMMANN GmbH ) is a German manufacturer of Selbstfahr- and trailed sprayers and spraying structure for municipal use. Dammann GmbH also has an authorized Unimog workshop. The company was founded on March 15, 1979.
history
As early as 1968, Dammann built its first plant protection device with an automatically folding boom with a working width of 15 meters. In 1983 a mounted sprayer was developed for the Unimog with a boom width of 36 meters. In 1984 Dammann launched the first self-propelled sprayer in Germany. The TSD system was voted Machine of the Year 2012 in the inventory management category. With the Profi Class, Dammann offers trailed sprayers with a volume of up to 14,000 liters.
Technical developments
HD Night-Lux
In 2009, Dammann received the silver medal for the Night-Lux spray cone lighting from the DLG . The spray cones are illuminated by individual LEDs . So you can spray even in the dark. The system is combined with obstacle detection systems.
Dual air system
The dual air system describes air-assisted spraying. The spray jet is protected by an air jet that penetrates the crop in front of and behind the nozzle. This z. B. achieved good crop penetration in potatoes. The air output is around 50,000 cubic meters of air per hour.
TSD system
With the TSD system (partial area-specific nozzle line), two treatments can be carried out during one pass. For this purpose, there are two pumps, nozzle lines, fittings and control devices. While unit A is used to treat the entire surface, unit B can be used for selective treatment. For this purpose, unit B has the Quattro nozzle holder. Different nozzles are activated at the same time in order to stay in the optimal pressure range while changing the application rate. Unit B is controlled either by application cards or by sensors on the boom.
DAMMANN-trac
With the DAMMANN-trac DT 3200 H, the company has a large self-propelled vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 25 t in its range. Driven by a Mercedes engine with 324 hp, the maximum travel speed is 40 km / h. Barrel volumes of 12,000 liters are just as possible as working widths of up to 42 meters. This vehicle can also be used together with a large area spreader for fertilization.
