Dam beams are horizontally stacked beams or boards made of wood, metal (aluminum) or other material that variably and temporarily close a closure, passage or overflow. They are used in hydraulic engineering, among other things, in dams to regulate the flow and in flood protection as mobile flood dams. They are also used to close dykes and as revision seals for sluices, sluices and weirs to dry out damaged main seals so that they can be repaired.

They are usually only used temporarily and therefore do not have to be 100% leakproof.

At the side, the dam beams are guided and held in vertical rails. Since you can easily change the number of bars, you can change the height of the dammed water with dam bars as required.
