Daniel "Dan" Carmichael (born June 21, 1990 in Dumfries ) is a Scottish football player who plays for Queen of the South .

Career

Dan Carmichael began his professional career in his native Dumfries , with Queen of the South . From 2005 he was in the squad of the first team. He made his debut for the club on the first day of the second division season 2010/11 on August 8, 2010 against FC Dundee . In the second season Carmichael rose with Queen of the South as bottom of the table in the third division. In the following season 2012/13 he formed together with Nicky Clark , Derek Lyle and Gavin Reilly a strong attack quartet that led to direct resurgence. In 2013 , he also won the Challenge Cup with the Queens on penalties in the final against Partick Thistle . By 2015 he had played over 180 competitive games. In June 2015 he signed a two-year contract with Scottish second division club Hibernian Edinburgh . Due to an injury, however, he was only used six times, whereupon the ongoing contract was terminated after one season. He then switched back to Queen of the South .
