Nicholas "Nicky" Clark (born June 3, 1991 in Bellshill ) is a Scottish football player who plays for the Scottish second division club Dundee United . He is the son of Sandy Clark , who was active in professional football from 1974 to 1990 and began a career as a coach after retiring.
Career
Nicky Clark was born in 1991 to Sandy Clark in Bellshill, a suburb of the Scottish city of Glasgow . Playing by storm, Clark joined Aberdeen FC in 2008 at the age of 17 , for whom he played in the Youth Academy until 2009 . After just one year with the Dons , Clark moved to third division club FC Peterhead , for whom he played the first professional season in the 2009/10 season and scored four goals in 23 league games. In the following season 2010/11 Clark took the last place in the table with the team from Aberdeenshire . The ambitious attacker then moved to the second division Queen of the South . There he suffered the same fate as his previous club with relegation in the first 2011/12 season . As a relegated team, the team was immediately promoted again in the following 2012/13 season . Clark became the top scorer with 32 goals and thus had a large share in the rise. He also won the Scottish League Challenge Cup 2012/13 with the Queens in the final against Partick Thistle .
In May 2013, Clark signed a three-year contract with the Glasgow Rangers . There he succeeded with the club in the first year of winning the Scottish League One 2013/14 . Behind Jon Daly and Lee McCulloch , Clark was the Rangers' third top scorer with 9 goals . In the 2015/16 season he was second division champion with the Rangers and winner of the Challenge Cup . After his expiring contract was not extended, he moved to the English third division club Bury .
