Liam Smith (born April 10, 1996 in Dalgety Bay ) is a Scottish football player who plays for Dundee United .
Career
society
Liam Smith was born in April 1996 in the Scottish coastal town of Dalgety Bay, about 16 miles southeast of the Scottish capital Edinburgh . He started his football career at the Hillfield Swifts Boys Club. As a 9-year-old Smith joined the Youth Academy of Glasgow Rangers . At the age of 14 he was sorted out with the Rangers and he moved to Heart of Midlothian . In July 2014, Smith signed a two-year professional contract with Hearts in Edinburgh . He made his professional debut in August 2014 in the Challenge Cup against Livingston FC . After his debut, Smith was loaned to Scottish fourth division club FC East Fife in the same month until June 2015 . He played 21 games for the club in the 2014/15 season and scored his first goal against FC Queen's Park . After his return to Hearts , he played ten times in the jersey of the capital city club in the first division season 2015/16 . After two more appearances at the beginning of the 2016/17 season , Smith was awarded to the second-rate Raith Rovers from September 2016 to January 2017 . A loan to FC St. Mirren followed in August 2017 . With the club Smith was second division champions at the end of the season. In August 2018, Smith joined Ayr United . After a season he signed with Dundee United .

Liam Smith played once against Croatia in the Scotland U-19s in 2015 . From 2016, missions followed in the U-21 against Macedonia .
