The Scottish Football League Second Division was played in 1994/95 for the 20th time after the introduction of the Premier Division as the third highest Scottish league . In addition, it was the twentieth event as the third highest division of men's football in Scotland under the name Second Division . In the 1994/95 season, 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 match days. Each team played four times against each other team. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted . It was the first season in which the 3-point rule applied.

The championship won Greenock Morton , which at the same time secured participation in the First Division season 1995/96 . In addition to Greenock , the runner-up FC Dumbarton also rose. Meadowbank Thistle and Brechin City had to relegate to the Third Division . The top scorer with 29 goals was Martin McGarvey from FC Dumbarton.
