The Scottish League One was played for the seventh time in 2019/20 as the third highest division of men's football in Scotland . The league was officially played as Ladbrokes Scottish League One . The league was one of the four leagues in the Scottish Football League after the Premiership and Championship . Which was followed League One from League Two . The season was managed and played by the Scottish Football Association and began on August 3, 2019. The season should end with the 36th matchday on May 2, 2020.
In the 2019/20 season, ten clubs were to compete against each other in a total of 36 match days. Each team should play twice at home and twice against every other team. As promoters from last year's League Two , FC Peterhead and FC Clyde took part in League One . FC Falkirk came as relegated from the previous championship .
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the season was canceled prematurely in April 2020.
The Raith Rovers were declared champions and promoted to the second division. The promotion and relegation relegation was canceled. The last placed FC Stranraer was declared relegated.
