Methil is a small town in the Fife Council Area in Scotland , south of the confluence of the Leven and the Firth of Forth .
history
During the Second World War , from August 1940 to May 1945, the port of Methil was the starting point for EN convoys such as the EN 491 convoy .
Sports
Methil is home to the FC East Fife football club . The club currently playing in the fourth-rate Scottish League Two won the Scottish Club Cup once and the League Cup three times .
