Jonathan Marvin Daly (called Jon Daly ; born January 8, 1983 in Dublin ) is an Irish football player who plays for the Raith Rovers .

Career

Jon Daly was born in Dublin , the capital of Ireland , in 1983 . In 1998 Daly came to England to play for Stockport County . After six seasons in which the striker had completed over one hundred competitive games, he left the club for Hartlepool United . During his time at Stockport, he was briefly loaned to FC Bury and Grimsby Town in 2004. In Bury, Daly played repeatedly on loan in 2006. In January 2007 Daly moved to Dundee United in Scotland on a free transfer . With the club Daly won in 2010 the Scottish Cup final against Ross County .

In May 2013, Daly signed a two-year deal with the Glasgow Rangers . In his first year of membership, he won the Scottish League One 2013/14 with the team , with 20 goals Daly was the Rangers' top scorer ahead of his strike partner Lee McCulloch . In the final of the Scottish League Challenge Cup 2013/14 he surprisingly lost to the Raith Rovers with the Teddy Bears . After two seasons in Glasgow in which he scored 21 goals in 50 league games, he moved to the Raith Rovers in August 2015.
