Dan Joye (born February 19, 1985 in San Tome ) is an American luge athlete .

Dan Joye was born in Venezuela . The two-seater competed with his partner Preston Griffall from 1999 to 2007 , and since then with Christian Niccum as headman. In 2002 and 2003 they won both the junior world champion title and the overall ranking of the junior world cup. In 2003 they also won the title of US champions, in 2005 they took second place. Best Result career was participating in the 2006 Olympic Games of Turin . Here he took eighth place with his partner Griffall. A year earlier, they achieved their best placement at a world championship. They finished sixth in Park City . The best result in the overall World Cup was a ninth place in the 2004/05 season , the best World Cup result a third place with the team in Königssee one season later .
