Christian Niccum (born January 27, 1978 in Minneapolis ) is a former American luge athlete .

Christian Niccum has been sledding since 1990 and has competed in international competitions since 1998. He drove in both a single and a two-seater. Here he achieved great success in the youth field with Matt McClain , was four times junior world champion and ninth at the 1999 Luge World Championships . During the Luge World Cup 1998/1999 the doubles won two races and finished fifth in the overall World Cup. He later started briefly with Brian Wohlleb (twelfth at the 2003 Luge World Championships ) and Jonathan N. Myles (twelfth at the 2004 Luge World Championships ) and then with Patrick Quinn (ninth at the 2005 Luge World Championships ). 2006 the doubles missed the qualification for the Olympic Games of Turin just behind Preston Griffall and Dan Joye , Niccum started however in the singles and there was 23. With him he reached a fifth place at the start of the Luge World Cup 2007/08 in Lake Placid . From 2010 to 2014 he tobogganed with Jayson Terdiman in a two-seater.
