The 2011 America-Pacific Luge Championships were the first ever continental America-Pacific Championships to be held. They were held from December 16 to 17, 2011 as part of the 3rd World Cup race of the 2011/12 season on the bobsleigh and sled run in Canada Olympic Park in Calgary , Canada . There were competitions in the single-seater for men and women and the two-seater. All competitions were decided in two runs, the results of the World Cup races in the respective disciplines were used for the evaluation.

The titles went to the Canadian Alex Gough in the women's singles, Samuel Edney in the men and the doubles to the Americans Matthew Mortensen and Preston Griffall .

The title in the women's singles was won by Alex Gough from Canada ahead of her compatriots Kimberley McRae and Dayna Clay . Gough also won the World Cup race, here ahead of Tatyana Huefner and Tatyana Iwanowna Iwanowa . McRae achieved 7th place there, Clay finished 8th. Emily Sweeney (12th in the World Cup race) secured fourth place as the best American woman, ahead of her compatriots Erin Hamlin (16th in the World Cup race), Ashley Walden (19th in the World Cup race) and Kate Hansen (20th in the World Cup race). Local hero Arianne Jones finished eighth after a serious mistake in the first run and was thus last in the America-Pacific ranking. She finished the World Cup race as 22nd and thus the last rider to cross the finish line. With the exception of Gough, Hamlin and Jones, who belonged to the seeded group, all riders (McRae, Clay, Sweeney, Walden, Hansen) had to qualify for the championship race via the Nations Cup.

America Pacific Champion was the Canadian Samuel Edney ahead of the Americans Isaac Underwood and Bruno Banani from Tonga . In the World Cup race, Edney was 9th, Underwood was 25th directly ahead of Banani. Morris (27th in the World Cup race) and Matheson (28th in the World Cup race) followed on the other ranks in the America-Pacific ranking. While Edney was already set for the race, Underwood, Banani, Morris and Matheson had to qualify for this race through the Nations Cup.

Four pairs of two-seater took part in the competition, for which Mortensen / Griffall and Walker / Snith did not have to qualify via the Nations Cup, as they belonged to the seeded group of the World Cup. The Americans Matthew Mortensen and Preston Griffall secured the title of the America-Pacific Championship , ahead of Canadians Tristan Walker and Justin Snith and their teammates Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman . In the regular World Cup races, the winners Mortensen / Terdiman came in 5th, Walker / Snith came in sixth directly behind them, the two-seater pair Niccum / Terdiman in 8th. Outside of the medal positions, Jacob Hyrns and Andrew Sherk took fourth (17th in World cup races).
