The 2020 Luge America-Pacific Championships are to take place from January 21 to 23, 2021 as part of the 8th World Cup race of the 2020/21 season on the Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic bobsleigh track in Lake Placid , United States .

There are competitions in the single-seater for men and women and the two-seater. Two races are planned for all competitions, which are run in the relevant disciplines as part of the World Cup race. Since the Luge World Championships, traditionally held in late January or early February 2021 , are to take place in Whistler , Canada , the North American World Cup station, which is usually scheduled for December, has been moved closer to the event. The aim is to reduce travel and transport expenses for athletes and associations. The continental America-Pacific title fights of 2020, which will always be driven on one of the North American tracks, can therefore only be played at the beginning of 2021.

Defending champion

At the last America-Pacific Championships in 2019 in Whistler, Canada, the American Emily Sweeney won in the women's singles, her compatriot Tucker West in the men's singles and the Canadian doubles Tristan Walker and Justin Snith .
