Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip is a British hip-hop duo from Stanford-le-Hope , Essex .

Band history

David Meads, who named himself after the nonsense poem The Scroobious Pip by Edward Lear , visited Dan Stephens in 2006, who was still known as DJ Sac at the time. He was supposed to remix some of his spoken lyrics. This turned into a real collaboration under the name Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip and the two posted their joint pieces on MySpace . The song Thou Shalt Always Kill (from the 6th commandment Thou Shalt Not Kill - you shouldn't kill) was particularly successful and was named Track of the Week by the New Musical Express in April 2007 . It was her first chart success and reached the UK Top 40 .

They then performed at well-known festivals, including in Glastonbury , and produced their debut album Angles by 2008 . The album also made it into the top 40 of the LP charts.

The second album The Logic of Chance was released in March 2010.
