Daniel A. Dailey (born January 11, 1969 in Palmerton , Pennsylvania ) was a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army from 2015 to August 2019, the 15th Sergeant Major of the Army and thus superior of the Corps of the Corps and a member of the Chief of Staff of the staff Army .

biography

Dailey joined the Army in 1989 and completed his basic training in Fort Benning , Georgia . During his career he was stationed in multiple locations in the United States and served in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th US Infantry Divisions. After completing his courses, he became First Sergeant and Sergeant Major . He is also a Bachelor of Science in history. He fought in 2004 a. a. in Iraq during the siege of Sadr City , a district of Baghdad .

As a Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA), he served as a personal advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army, as the superior of the Corps in all matters. a. the training and quality of life of soldiers. The SMA is a non-commissioned officer, but in the protocol it is ranked higher than the Army Lieutenant General.

In addition to numerous awards, Dailey is the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merits with bronze oak leaves.
He is married and has a son.
