Daniel Auer (born October 26, 1994 in Ponigl ) is an Austrian cyclist .

Athletic career

Daniel Auer came to cycling through his parents, who took him on longer tours as soon as he could ride a bike. He started racing at the age of ten.

In the adult area, Auer drove for the UCI Continental Team WSA from 2013 to 2015 . He then moved to the Felbermayr Simplon Wels team in 2016 and 2017 . During this time he won the 2016 stage of the UCI Nations' Cup U23 race Course de la Paix with the Austrian national team in 2016 , and a stage of the Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux the following year .

In 2018 Auer returned to his first international team, which was now called WSA Pushbikers . That year he won the Grand Prix Kranj and finished second at the Grand Prix Izola . In 2019 he finished third in the Adria Mobil Grand Prix and won bronze in the road race at the European Games in Minsk in a three-man chasing group behind solo winner Davide Ballerini .
