Davide Ballerini (born September 21, 1994 in Cantù ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

As a junior driver, Ballerini won the bronze medal of the European championship in road racing in 2012 . In the adult sector, he initially drove for Italian Continental teams from 2013 and in 2014 won a section of the An Post Rás stage race as well as the junior competition of the Course de la Solidarité Olympique , in which he came second overall.

At the end of the 2016 season, Ballerini drove as a stagiaire with the UCI WorldTeam Tinkoff and the following year he received a regular contract with the Professional Continental Team Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec , for which he won the mountain classification at the UCI WorldTour race Tirreno-Adriatico 2017 . In 2018 he won the GP Industria & Artigianato , a race hors categorie , the sprint of the pursuers and was third. With the Giro d'Italia 2018 he contested his first Grand Tour , in which he won the intermediate sprint classification and the classification of the most combative driver and was 68th overall.
