The Trofeo Matteotti is an Italian cycling race .

The Trofeo Matteotti is a one-day race that was held for the first time in 1945. It takes place annually in August around the Italian city of Pescara . In 1975 and 1995 the race was also the Italian road cycling championship. It has been part of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005 and is classified in category 1.1 . The record winner is the Italian Francesco Moser , who won the race three times.

The race is dedicated to Giacomo Matteotti , a socialist politician who was murdered by Italian fascists on June 10, 1924 near Rome .
