Ruggero Marzoli (born April 2, 1976 in Pescara ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Athletic career

Ruggero Marzoli started his career at Cantina Tollo in 1999 . He only celebrated his first success in 2003 after he switched to Alessio . He won a stage at Tirreno-Adriatico and finished the race in third place overall. In 2004 he went to Acqua & Sapone , took part in the Giro d'Italia and finished in 23rd place. In the 2005 season Marzoli won a stage of the Tour of Slovenia and the Italian one-day race Trofeo Matteotti . He finished the UCI Europe Tour 2005 in fourth place. In 2006 he drove for the Italian ProTour team Lampre-Fondital . In 2008, Marzoli was banned from doping for six months . He ended his career at the end of the 2012 season.
