Daniel Benjamin (born July 14, 1979 ) is a singer, songwriter and composer from Germany. He plays several instruments, often several at the same time live. He produces and arranges recordings himself. He devotes himself to a wide variety of musical styles such as indie , pop , jazz and classical .

Career

Benjamin made his first experiences with multi-track recording as a child .

Benjamin started a solo career in 2003 and has since released various self-distributed EPs and three albums for the German indie label Haldern Pop Recordings . With the 14 songs by Daniel Benjamin (2006) and others, Daniel Benjamin played over 500 concerts in 15 countries until he decided to take a break in the summer of 2007.

In addition to his solo appearances, Daniel Benjamin was also on the road with Jumbo Jet as their drummer until the band split up in 2009 . Since 2004 he has been married to the singer of this band, Eleni Zafiriadou.

In 2010 Daniel Benjamin was hired to support Whitney Houston's four appearances in Germany and Austria.

Since January 2011, the solo project Daniel Benjamin, in which Eleni has always been involved on various instruments, has been renamed SEA + AIR , as both now make up the core of the band. In addition to touring, SEA + AIR compose film music (e.g. For Miriam 2009 / Director: Lars-Gunnar Lotz , Guilt are always the others 2012 / Director: Lars-Gunnar Lotz, Heißkalte Seele 2012 / Director: Michael Verhoeven, Tage des letzte Schnees 2019 / directed by Lotz).
