Haldern Pop Recordings is a German independent record label from Rees - Haldern on the Lower Rhine .
The label was founded in 2004 by the concert events agency Raum 3 , which, in addition to the label, is also responsible for the Haldern Pop Festival , which has been taking place since 1984 . On October 22nd, 2009 the Haldern Pop Bar opened in Haldern . Concerts take place there regularly.
The first release was the live EP of the Danish band Under Byen "Live at Haldern Pop". Since the label was founded, around 70 records have been released through Haldern Pop Recordings , including by international bands such as The Soundtrack of Our Lives (TSOOL), Friska Viljor , William Fitzsimmons , The Black Atlantic , Isbells , Steve Cradock (guitarist for Paul Weller and co-founder of Ocean Color Scene ), Shout Out Louds , Wendy McNeill , Emanuel and the Fear, and Julia Marcell .
The Soundtrack of Our Lives entered the album charts at number 1 in their home country Sweden in 2012 with their current and last album "Throw It to the Universe". The band broke up at the end of 2012 after a 17-year history.
Julia Marcell was nominated for 7 Polish Grammys in 2012 with her album June and was voted "Woman of the year". In the intro annual “Song of the Year 2012” chart, Honig took 9th place with his song “For Those Lost at Sea”.
In addition to the publication of sound carriers, Haldern Pop Recordings founded his own music publishing company in 2012 with Edition Haldern Pop Music . At the same time the label changed its distribution partner and released its sound carriers with Rough Trade Distribution .

Festival sampler
Between 1998 and 2006 , Haldern Pop produced a festival compilation entitled “Vollmilch”. The respective CDs contained a selection of songs by the bands that played at the festival.
